Our client is a major player in the planning and development of Auckland's infrastructure and they currently seek to employ a Work Coordination Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the management and coordination of road works programmes, while liaising with the contractors, local residents and internal/external stakeholders. Reporting to the Works Coordination Manager you will assist with the development of systems, processes to enable the establishment of effective works and projects coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Hold regular scheduled meetings with the contractors
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and coordinate the future work programmes for the local transport authorities
  • Develop processes and procedures for coordinating the work carried out by the utility companies
  • Collect the required information/reports from the parties that are involved in the project Participate in meetings with utility companies to create the plans for future works

Key selection criteria

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) CPEng (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven experience delivering capital works programs Road Transport experience
  • Experience in road maintenance and construction
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution Excellent Microsoft Office skills
