This long term established CBD based Architectural practice are in a stage of dynamic growth and evolution, both from a project perspective and the team. They currently have 18 staff with a vision to grow to 30 and their range of projects and clients also continues to expand.

__About the opportunity__
You could call this role Office Manager, Practice Manager, Studio Manager or whatever you choose. There are a number of key skills that will ensure you hit the ground running and they include exposure to HR, Finance and Marketing functions. You may have done some of these tasks soley, or assisted external consultants, but we really need you to be savvy in all 3 areas.
Ideally you will come from a design environment meaning you understand the HR subtleties of dealing with designers and you are switched on to workflow and processes in such an environment.
You are commercially savvy enough to know that time is money, and smart enough to know when to focus on the bigger picture and when more detail is required.
You will quickly become the go to person in the office for a myriad of responsibilities so your organisational skills will be second to none. This will also mean you can cope with managing multiple projects with ease.
With any practice management job, tasks can vary, change, grow and adjust. Here is a list of what you are likely to encounter:
- Marketing and branding initiatives
- Business development support and research and you can even make calls yourself if you are that way inclined
- Human Resources support for recruitment, new starters and general policy management
- Liaise with suppliers, eg: CAD software suppliers, Accountant and general
- Be the generalist go to person in the office; you stay on the pulse of goings on!
- Support the three Directors by driving their vision and the planned practice evolution
- Help turn their goals into projects
From a technical perspective, it will be ideal if you have previous experience with Xero and WorkFlow Max, and even InDesign so you can assist in putting together proposals. There is a lot more this practice could do with WorkFlow Max so a professional level of expertise here will be welcomed.
This job could head in a number of directions, but in summary we are seeking interest from those with all round skills, ideally gained within a creative type environment.
