**About the company:**
Leaders in developing and manufacturing hi-tech electronics. Their products include world class navigational and communication systems, utilising GPS, electronic cartography and sonar technology and work with market leadind R&D teams around the globe.

**About the role:**
- Experienced Software Developer with at least 3 years C++ experience in commercial software development, preferably embedded device software deveoplment
- You will be primarily responsible for creating software targeted at high-end embedded platforms, and will work closely with various members of a multi-disciplinary R&D team in crafting efficient, maintainable and robust software solutions
- The role requires involvement in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) , from initial conceptualisation, group consultation and requirements, design, development, debugging and software release
- You will also be able to contribute towards improving software development processes, being a strong proponent of process control and improvement

**Skills & experience required:**
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- 3 to 5 years' commercial software development experience using C++
- Strong understanding of object oriented principles(OOD)
- Exposure to UI design and implementation on an embedded platform
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Digia QT or similar framework
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git & JIRA
- Experience with developing and debugging on Linux
- An understanding of embedded systems
