They are the largest privately owned retail development, investment and management property company in New Zealand and have a number of projects either under construction or in the planning and consent stages, as well as an extensive refurbishment programme in progress.
They are now seeking a development manager who will embody the vision of identifying properties that can benefit from an energetic and ethical management style. This role will support the the General Manager of Construction as he builds a dynamic team to cope with an increasing workload.
With a lot of master planning and urban design completed, the design team have been busy completing resource and building consent documentation with a long way to go. Projects are at varying stages and there is a very solid forward workload with future planning also well underway.
For this opportunity, one of five we are currently recruiting into the GM's team, we are seeking interest from development managers with big picture residential and commercial project experience.
With previous experience in a development management, project management and maybe even design, you will add expertise to a switched-on team working across a range of projects including land development, multi-unit residential, commercial and retail.
Preference will be given to those with large scale project experience in:
- Property acquisition and feasibility analysis;
- Due diligence reporting on market and economic considerations;
- Knowledge of design for efficiency and cost effectiveness;
- Consultation with Planners and Council relating to District Plan rules, consents, contributions and legal issues.
- Negotiation with Local Authorities, Iwi, owners, agents and neighbours/affected parties.
