Inventory & Logistics Officer

Our client is a New Zealand owned and operated company based on Auckland’s North Shore with an excellent culture and sought-after environment due to their ongoing staff development and work/life balance commitment. Currently they are seeking an Inventory and Logistics Officer to join their team.

They require an incumbent who has a strategic focus to lead the inventory management process through proactive analysis of stock requirements, purchasing, management of supplier relations, pricing, profitably structures and negotiation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of inventory, purchasing & warehouse processes
  • Lead inventory process improvement initiatives
  • Forecast based purchasing
  • Receipting of inward goods
  • Stock management and reporting
  • Lead Health & Safety policy & procedures
  • Support for warehouse function

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent MS Excel abilities including experience with pivot tables
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record in achieving business results
  • A strong aptitude for learning new skills
  • Able to take a longer-term view of the business, critical analysis of issues and opportunities including problem-solving skills
  • Computer savvy: able to utilise databases, MS Office including pivot tables, Excel expert
  • As this position is based in the warehouse and provides backup for the Warehouse Officer, picking, packing and handling deliveries, therefore, a high level of physical fitness is required
  • Self-motivated & enthusiastic
