A highly successful main commercial contractor, respected within the Auckland construction industry focuses on commercial projects mainly in the $10M - $80M region. These span low/medium/high rise residential to warehousing, mixed use, sports facilities, historic building refurbs, office/retail developments, aged care and education/govt sector jobs.
Intially you will be joining an existing hotel project that they are finishing getting to know systems and the team. Then you will be gradually moving on to the new hotel project which they are looking to start in May.
The role incorporates:
- Senior project management including project planning and control
- Project financial performance, reporting and overall delivery
- Relationship management including client, consultants, internal relationships
- Developing Subcontractor and Supplier relationships
The successful applicant will possess a relevant tertiary qualification and/or trade qualification, 10+ years local commercial construction experience, strong leadership experience, great interpersonal skills and a thorough level of technical construction knowledge including programming- advanced skills in MS Project.
This role would suit an applicant in a commercial contractor environment who has particular strength in being able to identify and sort out problems quickly. Also top financial management skills are a must. This role will suit a senior project manager now looking for their next level of career advancement and is after a challenging new project.
