Not sure if anyone at Beyond ever sent you the brief description of what we are after so here it is:

Preferably at least 12 months support experience and basic technical competency at both MS Desktop and AD level. We're looking for someone who is keen to build their immediate career in remote support on a Service Desk environment logging calls, maintaining support tickets in the system, providing support to clients and adhering to internal and client processes. We're looking for someone who can think on their feet and who has plenty of common sense. This is a busy & fun environment - never a dull moment. A great team to be a part of with supportive management. You will be supporting clients from all around NZ with a variety of technologies plus there will be on-going training and Certifications opportunities.


Desired skills\experience:

- Previous Service desk experience
- Experience in supporting MS desktops\laptops Windows 7, 8, 10.
- Experience in supporting MS Office365 including Outlook.
- Windows server experience basic Active Directory Administration - Creating new accounts, mailboxes, distribution groups, security groups and basic server troubleshooting
- Methodical in troubleshooting
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Fast learner
- Preferred Microsoft Technical Certification in Windows desktop OS/ Server 2012


* $50,000-$52,000 per annum, Christchurch location
* with the Christchurch branch of a NZ owned and run IT outsourcing services and support company
* previous service desk experience needed

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key things you need to know:

- you will be one of a team of Service Desk Analysts in this IT outsourcing support company
- you will be supporting a range of their client sites who are based in the Christchurch area
- you will be reporting to the Service Desk Team Lead.

The reporting manager is one of the nicest - and most experienced - that you could find anywhere, and is a great mentor to his staff. The work is varied and interesting, and the team you work with friendly, smart and supportive.

WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOUR CV:

- previous experience of working as a Service Desk Analyst
- experience of supporting MS desktops/laptops, including Windows XP, 7 and 8.1
- experience in supporting MS Office, including Outlook
- experience in Windows server, including basic Active Directory administration, creating new accounts, mailboxes, distribution groups, security groups and basic server troubleshooting
- methodical and structured approach to problem resolution
- ability to pick up new systems and processes very quickly
- ideally, a Microsoft Technical Certification in Windows 8/Server 2012.
