Where I’m from: I’m from Upper Hutt, now living in lower Hutt (haven’t made it too far). My dad is a kiwi but my mum is Italian so I also have a close affiliation to where my mother is from in Bologna, north Italy. My Professional Background: A Chartered Accountant with 18 years' experience in public practice, Mining, Engineering and ICT, primarily in NZ but also 1 year working in Brisbane Australia. 14+ years leading accounting and finance teams. From Wellington originally, I studied at Victoria University where I obtained a double degree, with a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Italian and European studies. What not many people know about me: I speak Italian. I have 4 kids (3 boys and a girl, two dogs & two guinea pigs! (that’s enough…) My wife is a fellow accountant, so we love talking shop! What I love about Aotearoa, New Zealand: Our sporty/outdoorsy nature, I love being able to go on decent hike/tramps in the bush and all just so close to where I live. |
