Where I'm From: Tawa, Wellington.
My professional background: I've been a CFO for 20+ years, most of that time for a manufacturing company in Miramar, Wellington. Since they moved away from Wellington I have worked in the Public Sector with MPI and REANNZ (a crown owned company), as CFO, where I learnt about AOG procurement rules and other Government governance customs. I also spent years working for Revera Ltd (now owned by Spark) in both Wellington and Auckland.
Why I’m passionate about my role at Beyond Recruitment: In my role I get to work directly with the shareholders and directors who’ve created and led this business from the beginning. I also get to work with my team; a bunch of dedicated hard-workers who enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done and some fun along the way.
What not many people know about me: Both my parents come from large families, so I grew up with almost 100 first cousins, and I was the youngest. I enjoy following sport and especially the All Blacks. I've been to four Rugby World cups and final matches.
What I love about Aotearoa, New Zealand: The people! Our sense of humour and sense of fair play. I have recently started walking the great tracks (Kepler, Heaphy and Milford under my belt so far) and on those walks I feel proud to be a New Zealander and living among the natural bird life, streams and bush.
