Where I’m from: I was born in Fairlie South Canterbury, moved to Christchurch when I was about 8 and lived there for about 20 years apart from 3 years of living it up as a single young woman in Melbourne and Sydney. I have now lived most of my life in the North Island, the last 21 years in Silverstream, Upper Hutt. My professional background: I have a long administrative background and have been involved in payroll for many years including using the manual Kalamazoo payroll system and paying out actual cash money in little brown envelopes every week. The last 20 years of my working life have been focussed mainly in payroll with some HR dabbling included in that. What not many people know about me: I am from a family of 8 children, 4 x 4, and myself and most of my siblings are all Country music crazy – both modern country and old country – this we inherited from our Mother who was old country crazy.
