This is a government agency that later in 2022 will be commencing a large (over $150M) fit for purpose build that will be designed and delivered to the highest in quality standards.
This build has had in depth input from multiple stakeholders with recent sign off to commence construction. The project is envisaged to be built under 2.5 years.
Given the high standards and ZERO defect requirement upon practical completion, they need a Clerk of Works or a Quality Assurance professional to work on site and oversee every aspect of quality.
You will:
- Ensure an on-time handover and ensure the build is constructed to a zero defects policy.
- Work alongside the main contractor and various consultants and ensure compliance with technical requirements and ensure issues are picked up first time through the life of the project
- Work proactively with the main contractor to ensure inspection requirements and construction programme are synchronized and minimised site delays
- Support a Zero harm work site by ensuring H&S and wellbeing outcomes
We are looking for a construction professional who has in depth experience of working on larger commercial builds from a quality standpoint, particularly build projects in the public sector. You might be a senior site or project manager or possibly a building surveyor or inspector that has hands on experience overseeing quality for larger commercial builds. Experience worked on services intensive commercial projects is highly desirable.
You have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, industry compliance standards and industry best practice. Also, the ability to liaise positively across and manage complex stakeholder relationships is essential. Technology and use of is something you have good capability of.
This role will be paid on a contract basis, $80 - $100 per hour with 2.5 years of guaranteed work
You will also be subject to a vetting procedure with full background checks as a successful applicant.
