As one of the first partners of the government’s EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme, they have continued to experience substantial growth and are now on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced HVAC specialist looking for their next step up into an HVAC Team Leader position based in the beautiful and sunny city of Tauranga.
Working predominantly within the residential sector, the role is responsible for ensuring the field team deliver quality installations and repairs in accordance with building standards and the plans provided. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, communication between multiple internal and external stakeholders is key to ensure the operation always runs smoothly and efficiently. There will be multiple opportunities to contribute to the growth of the Auckland HVAC Install capabilities in the areas of providing excellence in quality and Health & Safety. With an ever-growing team, there is strong focus on training and developing the team to keep up with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities In This Position Include:
- People management of 5 direct reports projected to grow to 15
- Consistently keeping up to date on building and electrical standards
- Assessing the quality and efficiency of installs and repairs through the project life cycle
- Supervising & mentoring cadets/trainees working towards their electrical installer license
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the team is top priority in accordance with health & safety best practices
Reporting into the regional manager, you will be highly experienced in HVAC installation and repair and have extensive knowledge of current building electrical and health homes standards. Working in a fast-paced environment, your communication and organisation skills set you apart from the rest.
You will ideally looking to step up into a leadership position and have passion and energy for developing your team’s personal and professional skills. With multiple jobs on the go at any given time, your project management skills and understanding of the project life cycle will allow you to think creatively when faced with technical challenges in your role. Additionally, it will also serve you well when assisting with warehousing and operational duties as and when required. Most importantly you will strive to delivery quality service to all your customers as you strongly believe in the vision that every family deserves a healthy and energy efficient home.
