We’re working with a large, high-profile public sector organisation that plays a critical role in delivering outcomes that matter across Aotearoa. They’re looking for a Procurement Specialist to lead and influence end‑to‑end ICT and digital procurements across a complex, nationally significant portfolio.
This is a role for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and stakeholder trust. Advising senior leaders, shaping sourcing strategies, and driving value-for-money outcomes in a highly visible environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead end-to-end digital and ICT procurements, from early market engagement through to contract award
- Provide strategic procurement advice to internal digital and technology stakeholders
- Develop and manage category and sourcing strategies aligned to organisational priorities
- Draft and manage procurement documentation, evaluations, negotiations and awards
- Promote best-practice procurement in line with Government Procurement Rules and Marketplace panels
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, frameworks and capability
- Build trusted relationships across business, technical and supplier communities
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience delivering complex public sector procurements, ideally within ICT or digital environments
- Sound working knowledge of NZ Government Procurement Rules and DIA Marketplace
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate and manage challenging stakeholder conversations
- A collaborative, relationship-led approach with the confidence to lead independently
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate complexity into clear advice
