This is a unique opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise in a role where you can contribute and suggest improvements and add value instantly.   We are looking for a sole-charge Operations Manager to join a regulatory board in the Wellington CBD.

If you have experience in operational management particularly in financial and database management and enjoy looking at things analytically and enjoy process improvement, this would be an amazing opportunity for you.   This board is looking to bring someone in who can reinvent processes, develop and implement a new database and take ownership of their sole-charge role to deliver premium results.   If you have exposure within a medical registration organisation that would be a plus however it’s not essential.

  • Permanent role, 0.8-1.0 FTE
  • Salary up to $80K depending on experience
  • Sole-charge Operations Manager, Registration Officer

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support with practitioner medical registration processes and ensuring each application fulfils requirements
  • Operational management of the office and stakeholder engagement
  • Financial processing of invoices, monthly budget reports, reconciliation, and presentation of monthly budgets
  • Fast communication with triaging emails and phone communications
  • Updating websites and preparing external communication as required
  • Maintaining an accurate complex database and working with IT to create reports and new processes including system improvements for financial, practitioner and information management systems
  • Support of Board and Committee meetings
  • Undertake project work- particularly moving applications online

You will need to have the follow proven experience and attributes:

  • Proven operational management experience in the service sector
  • Education, Health or medical background advantageous
  • Ability to review and move with developments in the IT field
  • Process improvement focused and analytical way of thinking
  • High level of computer literacy with demonstrated competency in MS suite, WordPress and Mail Chimp
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Someone who enjoys using their initiative and is organised
  • Understanding and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
