I am currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a team of 7 Payroll Advisors. This team is currently working across a Payroll system implementation and BAU and need all hands on deck!
Other Duties Include:
- Ensure that fortnightly and monthly pay runs for employees are accurate and paid on time
- Ensure PAYE returns are processed and prepared, as well as Payday Filing with IRD
- Manage and reconcile any Payroll overpayments made to employees, as well as any other adjustments
- Ensure new employees are set up accurately in HRIS and that employee records are accurate and secure
- Ensure Payroll systems and practices align with the NZ Holidays Act and other relevant legislation
- Effectively build and lead a cohesive, constructive and supportive team who are clear on their purpose and motivated to deliver
Experience Required:
- Previous experience leading teams, running end-to-end Payroll - preferably in a public sector environment
- Previous experience in a Payroll systems implementation is advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end Payroll processes, with hands-on experience in a recent position
- Good knowledge of Payroll systems and HRIS, as well as the MS Suite
- Strong ability to interpret and apply NZ Payroll legislation to BAU situations
- Enjoys working collaboratively, leading others and working across teams to achieve goals
