- Interim Procurement Lead

This is a hands-on role where you’ll partner with project teams, development specialists, and consultants to keep procurement activities on track while ensuring compliance with government standards and delegated authority.
You’ll work alongside a collaborative team. Success in this role means being confident working independently, building trust quickly, and guiding stakeholders through shifting priorities and complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive procurement delivery across multiple development projects
- Collaborate with teams on contracts, construction, and consultancy engagements
- Maintain clear documentation and strong governance practices
- Manage billing processes and oversee end-to-end procurement workflows
- Keep projects moving and hold stakeholders accountable
- Identify and suggest process improvements where appropriate
- Operate effectively in a manual procurement environment
- Proven leadership experience in public-sector procurement
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement rules and compliance
- Ability to manage billing processes and support development-focused projects
- Strong judgment and autonomy in decision-making
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and property-related teams
- Practical, calm approach when navigating ambiguity
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
This role has no direct reports, but you’ll be part of a team that values collaboration and transparency. While the focus is on delivery, your ideas for improvement will be welcomed.
