Our client has an 18-month fixed term contract on offer for an experienced B2B salesperson. Attitude is key in this role - you are known for your honesty and integrity in the professional world as well as your passion for getting the best results for all parties.

You are all about fairness in terms of how you deal with people and in the way you work - you listen well, you want to use your inquiring mind to learn, and you are open to change if it means delivering the best outcomes.

Your level of engagement in terms of everything you do is second to none - you create positively to team culture, you love robust debate and you strive to reach best business practice levels at all times.

Our client is all about safety and you are going to need to be as well. Have you worked in the health & safety space? It would be even better if you have construction sector experience.

In a nutshell, what does the role look like?
  • sales and business development - identify new relationships and opportunities
  • key account management
  • upsell and cross sell across a range of products and services
  • deliver against a revenue forecast and performance KPIs
  • assist with proposals and presentations (have you written proposals before? are you familiar with the RFP process?)
  • assist with product launches and attend industry events
  • and so much more.....
Who are you and what to you need to bring?

Hopefully by now from what you have read, you are already starting to tick some of the boxes. So, a bit of a recap plus some of the additional attributes we are seeking:
  • sales and business development experience
  • customer service focused with strong relationship and negotiation skills
  • stakeholder engagement and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • well-rounded communication skills
  • systems savvy including CRM experience
  • exposure to working for a not-for-profit organisation
  • ability to think strategically but work pragmatically
  • health & safety knowledge plus construction sector experience
The role provides a market rate salary, vehicle and flexible working arrangements. There is travel across the South Island with this role and it could extend to Wellington.
