About the role:
As the Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing portfolios and shaping and leading complex procurements by communicating, understanding and providing advice about the procurement strategy, developing documentation, managing the process through to award of contracts and managing smaller contracts/specialist areas. You will support the effective use of sourcing strategies for resources to ensure best value for money outcomes are obtained.

You’ll bring to this role:

• Previous experience in procurement and a strong understanding of the procurement process
• Significant relationship building experience including the ability to provide specialist advice, and influence and consult with a broad range of stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
• Good commercial acumen and an understanding of what drives service value and how to identify and minimise key commercial risks
• The ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• A dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• The ability to negotiate skillfully in challenging situations with both internal and external groups
