Farewell to Mhairi Kerr

Farewell To Mhari Kerr

Tomorrow is the last day at Beyond Recruitment for one of our longest serving recruiters, IT specialist Mhairi Kerr, who has been with us for nearly 10 years.

Mhairi has added immense value to our business with her never-ending enthusiasm for learning and a deep understanding of her clients. She has also been a strong leader within the Beyond team, having won the Supreme Leadership Award at our annual Above and Beyond awards.

Mhairi said that coming back to Beyond Recruitment after year of travelling around the world was probably her favourite moment in her time here. "Coming back into the office and seeing all those people that I'd worked with for such a long time, and seeing that in the year that I'd been away Beyond Recruitment had continued to develop and had become an even better organisation."

Mhairi also wanted to share her favourite photo from her time at Beyond Recruitment, which she says "sums up the IT & Transformation practice pretty well, we don't take ourselves too seriously and we try to laugh a lot at work, and every time we see this photo we all crack up!"

Mhairi said that she's going to miss the people at Beyond Recruitment the most, and that they made things easier in a very emotionally charged industry. "You could be having a great day, but then five minutes later you could be having a really really bad day. Those people, and the environment you work in, can make it better. The people that we have buy into that culture and the team approach that we have, and we genuinely do look after each other."

When asked what she'd say to someone joining Beyond Recruitment, Mhairi gave some sound advice. "There are a lot of people in this business who have been at Beyond Recruitment, and in the industry for a number of years which means there is so much rich knowledge. Use that to your advantage, talk to as many people as you can and find out what they did to be successful and never stop learning. You’ll also have a lot of fun. You will be supported and encouraged, yet given the flexibility and autonomy to be successful in your role."

Mhairi has secured a great role over in Melbourne, Australia, and is excited to start this new chapter of her career. Thank you, Mhairi for everything you've done for Beyond Recruitment, and we wish you all the best!
