Auckland Operations Manager 

$90,000 - $110,000 + Vehicle

Our client specialises in providing innovative and technical products to the architecture, construction and engineering market, working closely with each of them to ensure high quality products, fit for purpose with ongoing support and project management are provided.
They have operated successfully in Australia for over a decade and are the current market leader. As part of their growth, they commenced operations in New Zealand successfully winning tenders and delivering projects in the local market.
As part of a strategic review and to continue to drive the New Zealand business forward, they are looking to bring on their next superstar who can take ownership and responsibility for the New Zealand operation.

About the role
This is a very diverse role that will see you developing your skills across several areas as you support the growth of the business. It’s very unlikely that any 2 days will be the same as you work closely with clients and customers delivering a high-quality responsive service. The Company has a number of highly technical individuals in the business and vast experience across estimating, quoting etc that you can draw on to support high quality responses to tenders that are accurate and competitive.
In this role there will be a number of areas of focus which includes, client engagement, Project Management/ coordination, tendering and developing a technical knowledge around the product.

  • Client engagement –being the face of the business. There is lots of support from across the ditch while you develop your knowledge of the business and their capabilities.
  • Technical knowledge – This role will work closely with Architects and Engineers who will be looking to specify the product, you will be developing your knowledge around the technical aspects of the industry and product to add value and become an expert.
  • Tendering – You will work closely with the estimating team to deliver compelling proposals for work and develop a unique insight into the client requirement.
  • Project Management/coordination – Managing the basics of various project ensuring timeframes are being managed, subcontractors have what they need and required stock is on site.
