You will work with GM and Deputy Secretary stakeholders as a key driver in major programmes of work around the Holidays Act and ensuring long terms strategic and operational compliance across payroll policy and systems,
The Role
As Chief Advisor, Payroll Compliance, you’ll provide thought leadership, strategic advice and subject matter expertise across payroll remediation and compliance programmes. You’ll work closely with senior leaders through to GM and DSC , governance groups, and external stakeholders to ensure obligations under the Holidays Act and other employment legislation are met.
This is a high-trust, high-impact role requiring deep technical knowledge, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across a diverse stakeholder landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Lead complex technical discussions and provide expert advice on payroll remediation and compliance.

Develop and implement strategies to resolve payroll errors and ensure legislative compliance.

Represent the organisation in cross-agency forums and sector-wide discussions.

Support governance functions and decision-making across payroll remediation programmes.

Commission and interpret payroll data to inform risk mitigation and cost impact strategies.

Champion change initiatives and contribute to strategic planning and operational delivery.
Key Skills

Senior leadership experience in payroll within a complex workforce environment.

Proven ability to lead strategic change and deliver integrated plans.

Deep understanding of payroll systems, compliance frameworks, and remediation processes.

Experience with sector-specific legislation and broader legislative reform.
