This group home builder is a Top 10 residential builder that are poised for major growth within the next two years bought about through a new revised strategy. They have franchises throughout the North Island. It is a brand recognised for quality in design and are at the high end of the group home building market. Most of their building is stand alone housing but Auckland is a mix of standalone and terraced housing. The culture is family orientated, a close-knit team that are easy going and enjoy a bit of office banter.
This is an opportunity for a Contracts Manager to step in and assist the Franchise Manager for ensuring the smooth throughput of contracts between this group home builder and clients.
The Role
Reporting to Franchise Manager, as a Contracts Manager you will be professionally managing and delivering NZ3910 contracts between this residential builder and clients which vary between developer and individual customers.
This role will see you interacting with the Project Managers and QS’s with the finalisation of all project tenders, price and programme negotiations, ensuring acceptable and adequate contract terms and conditions are agreed to.
You will be ensuring all contracted terms and conditions are managed and delivered right through to full and final handover.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 8 years experience in a Contracts Management role within the residential building sector as it relates to construction contracts
- A minimum of five years of exposure to the medium density and stand alone residential building sector.
- A clear and demonstrable working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and its practical application.
- An established positive working relationship with a broad range of suppliers and sub-trades.
- The ability to work with a range of different people with varying requirements.
- A QS background or a PM with a strong bend towards contractual knowledge wouild be preferred
