This national leadership role oversees several sites and reports directly to the Managing Director. You will drive all on-site engineering operations—including planned and reactive maintenance, shutdowns, and project delivery. Leading a tight-knit team of Engineers, Assistants, and Admin staff, you'll ensure smooth execution and high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Safety: Lead the maintenance and engineering team, ensuring a safe work environment for all staff and contractors
- Planning & Budgeting: Develop annual engineering business plans and manage all related budgets and cost targets
- Operations & Maintenance: Oversee scheduled and unplanned maintenance, ensuring buildings, tools, and equipment are kept in optimal condition
- Project and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate on-site engineering projects and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Process and Performance Improvement: Promote continuous improvement and ensure adherence to business processes and standards.
Skills & Experience required:
- Engineering Background: Holds a relevant tertiary qualification with proven leadership in manufacturing maintenance.
- Operational Expertise: Experienced in plant shutdowns, capital project management, and driving business improvements.
- Strong Communicator: Engages effectively across all levels with clear, confident communication.
- Results-Driven: Motivated, proactive, and focused on delivering measurable outcomes.
- Tech-Savvy: Skilled in relevant engineering software and computer systems.
