Our client is a 20+ year old innovative food production company based in St Johns. They have an Internationally renowned brand and offer their product to the New Zealand and overseas markets. They have a friendly culture, really value their staff and enjoy producing top quality products.
The Role:
The role is based around the maintenance, and repair of machinery within the production facility, predominantly concentrating on preventative maintenance. This will include but is not exclusive to:
- Carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and repairing equipment
- Undertaking scheduled maintenance checks at the required regular interval’s to a schedule
- Monitoring equipment to identify potential errors and develop solutions to eliminate issue reoccurrence
- Determining test methods, procedures, and required parts and equipment necessary to implement maintenance requirements on machinery and systems
- Consulting with facility Production Manager on equipment and machine modification to improve output efficiency’s
- Organising stock of necessary parts / equipment
About you:
Ideally you will:
- Be able to commence a role immediately or in the next few weeks
- Have a relevant trade qualification or at least 8+ years experience working in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment
- Have top maintenance engineering skills, be able to assist with breakdowns, faults and preventative maintenance
- Have sound mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Enjoy trouble shooting, problem solving and have excellent communication skills
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety Requirements
- Be physically fit as some lifting is involved
- Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
