About the role:
- Managing MRP Daily purchasing activities, including: Raising of purchase requisitions & creating purchase orders
- Weekly expediting of purchase orders with suppliers
- Manage the Purchasing inbox
- Negotiate best purchasing package (in terms of quantity & price) if demand is below what was negotiated by the procurement team with the suppliers
- Inventory stock level optimization
- Ensure all supplier contract data is loaded & updated as necessary on the ERP system’s contract pricing module
- Ensure all stock related purchase order receipts are done in “real-time”
- Attaching all relevant documentation to transactions on Syspro to enable full audit trail abilities
- Assisting the stores team with some heavy lifting
About you:
- a minimum of 3 years Purchasing experiencing
- Knowledge of purchasing concepts and processes
- Excellent communication skills
- An intermediate level of excel skills
- IT & systems savvy
- Customer focused attitude
- Excellent time-management skills
- Proactive problem solver
- High attention to detail
