You’ll be working for a well-known, well-established, community focused organisation based in South Auckland.
About the role:
This is a team-based payroll position. You will be part of a team responsible for the payroll of 1000+ employees. The team is hard working with a mix of vibrant and bubbly personalities. As well as maintaining all payroll data and processing the payroll, you will need to produce payroll financial and operational reports as required, including salary wage movements and ranges, Kiwisaver uptake, leave balances and advising the company of legislation changes that affect payroll and employee contracts.
Duties:
- Enter new and maintain existing personal data for employees and ensure accuracy.
- Support effective onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Collate and process department fortnightly wages and monthly wages ensuring strict control procedures are adhered to.
- Manage and deliver on all activities within the payroll function.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain and ensure the security of all employee payroll records.
- Complete payroll reporting and analysis.
- Prior experience in a team payroll position.
- Experienced processing a payroll of 500+ employees.
- Experience with casual staff payroll.
- iChris / Chris 21 experience preferred.
- Ability to plan and organise your own day.
- Ability to balance conflicting demands.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and build effective working relationships.
