This will work closely with the HR Business Partner and would suit a junior or an intermediate HR Advisor HR professional with a can-do attitude, pragmatic, organised, and enjoys working at a fast pace.

You will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide advice/guidance and support to people leaders.
- Escalate issues where appropriate.
- Collaboration with Business Partners as and when required.
- Maintain records to enable reporting.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement activities to improve employees’ experience
- Schedule and conduct interviews
- Develop and maintain relationships with union delegates.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and development of people’s processes.
- Keeping up to date with the latest relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of NZ employment law, HR processes, and policies.
Key Requirements for this role:
- Degree qualified in Human Resources / Business
- Strong change and project management experience
- Exposure to a local government and/or unionised business environment preferred
- Experience in workforce planning and engagement strategies
- Excellent communication skills
- Tech Savvy
