We’re seeking a seasoned Principal Advisor to lead a strategic investment work programme within a high-performing, fast-paced government environment. This is a unique opportunity to influence cross-agency investment decisions and shape long-term funding strategies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a baseline review of current investments
- Mapping funding flows and identifying opportunities for change and efficiency
- Developing strategic options for future investment, commissioning, and procurement
- Supporting project managers with insights, frameworks, and tangible outputs
- Producing high-quality reports and recommendations for senior decision-makers
- Proven experience in public sector investment strategy, budgeting, and performance reporting
- Strong understanding of social investment and commissioning frameworks
- Ability to work at pace, pivot quickly, and manage complexity
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to translate technical insights into clear, actionable advice
