About the company:
My client is in growth mode. They have a growth strategy in place and are looking for talented accountants to help them grow towards their strategy. My client is a well-established and well-respected Auckland accounting firm which has been providing trusted accounting and tax compliance services to clients for over 20 years. The benefit of making a move to this firm is that you will be heavily involved in the value-add advisory services such as management consulting services, VCFO offering to clients, helping businesses to grow. Most compliance work is outsourced but the more interesting work is handled in the office here in Auckland CBD.

About the role:
In this role you will use your wealth of accounting practice experience to manage compliance related work such as reviewing compiled financial accountants and tax returns and also still rolling your sleeves up to prepare financial accounts for the larger, trickier entities. You will be working closely with a range of key clients as their Virtual Chief Financial Officer and assisting with preparation of business plans, Budgets, Cash-flow and special reports.

Duties:
  • Review of financial statements, tax returns and other financial reports.
  • Written and Oral Communication with clients and on behalf of clients to IRD and other organisations
  • Representation of company at seminars, trainings, marketing and networking events
  • Assisting with review, Preparation & Compilation of Financial Reports for all entities that the firm services, Sole trader, Companies, LTC, Partnerships, Limited Partnerships, Trusts,
  • Review of business structures set ups and restructures
  • Preparation of business plans, Budgets, Cash-flow and special reports
  • Business Acquisition and Disposal analytics – Due Diligence
Skills & Experience:
  • 6+ years of BAS accounting experience.  
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken. 
  • Solid foundational accounting experience. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • XERO / XPM experience. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
