I am looking for a Senior Financial Advisor, to provide specialist and advisory support, as 2IC to the Manager of Financial Operations. Provide sound technical operations advice, lead payment processes, oversee key operational procedures and develop capability within the team.
Duties Include:
- Develop and maintain a roster for payment authorisation and payment schedules, coordinating all staff to deadlines
- Lead and manage the authorisation of $800 million per month in payment runs, across the team
- Manage relationships with providers and FMIS Systems Teams, around e-scanning and e-invoicing issues
- Initiate and lead key change pieces of work in the Finance space
- Be a decision maker in the absence of the Manager of Financial Operations
- Provision of monthly reporting and metrics to SLT
Desired Experience:
- Considerable experience across a Financial Operations environment, preferably in a similar role
- Strong experience undertaking Accounts Processing in a medium-large organisation
- Extensive experience and understanding of Financial principles and systems/controls (TechOne preferred)
- 5+ years experience in a leadership role or senior role within the public sector (preferred)
