Key responsibilities:

• Lead,scope,shape, plan and manage policy projects
• Provide critical and strategic thinking to identify policy issues 
• Shape unclear or complex policy 
• Assess policy and identify impact, cost effectiveness and identify risk.
• Synthesise information to draw sound conclusions.
• Coach and mentor more junior staff
• Provide well-reasoned policy products.

Key Skills and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Experience in community related issues/policy
• Senior level experience in policy
• Critical/strategic thinking
• Presentation skills

This role will enable you to lead work that provides high quality policy advice to decision makers, and you will engage with Auckland's diverse communities as part of a highly collaborative policy team.
