Due to internal restructuring and a promising future work pipeline, an opening has opened up for a Senior Project Manager to join the team in Auckland and be a key driver for delivery across their Auckland projects.


The role will see you working closely with project teams ensuring people are being supported. You will be actively ensuring project performance and profitability evaluating any issues on programme with regular communication with onsite PM’s. You will be across all key relationships including with the client, external PM’s and consultants. Working with the commercial manager you will be proactively monitoring commercial and contractual issues providing any onsite feedback. There will also be a strong emphasis on HS, compliance and upholding quality.


Key success factors for this role require:

* Carpentry trade and/or a tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying or engineering.
* 10 + years’ experience in managing medium to large complex projects with NZ experience essential
* Strong knowledge of the local sub-contractor construction market
* Ability to lead and performance manage construction teams to achieve agreed outcomes
* Strong ECI and Preconstruction experience, top programming and contract management skills
* Strong financial management with ability to drive cost accountability
* Outstanding relationship building strengths with consultants and the client
