This well-established quality main contractor have been responsible for some iconic projects for many decades. While they are of good size, they retain more family centred values, are nimble and can move quick to make decisions. They continue to grow with a full work order book for the next two years and only selectively taking on any additional projects.
Reporting into a Commercial Manager, you would lead the financial management of projects between $2M - $30M.
The role will cover:
- Tender estimates and review and letting contracts
- Meeting with sub-contractors
- Project protocol set up
- Cost management and monitoring of projects
- Variation management
- Sub contractor negotiations and management
- Final reporting
- Project Management of smaller jobs
As an applicant, you have commercial construction QS experience of at least 10+ years is essential from a main contractor. Your cost management skills and commercial acumen are excellent with proven results in increasing profitability on projects. Experience in pre-contract work would be highly beneficial. You work well within a team environment and thrive on the pressure that construction projects bring. You are tertiary qualified with a quantity surveying major ideally.
The remuneration package is highly competitive and commensurate with experience, $160K - $190K.
The role also has a great opportunity to move towards a Commercial Manager role due to future internal movements.
