Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager

This is a a successful name in the NZ Design and Build Construction market with nationwide coverage. They have entrenched relationships with developers and big corporate brands. They build across industrial and commercial up to $80M. Projects span large distribution centres, commercial office blocks, warehousing, complex industrial factories. The forecast programme of works is strong. Their standards are high, their culture is positive, inclusive and focuses on skill development with a high training budget.

The role is a combination of mainly quantity surveying but some estimating. You will be working post contract managing subcontractors, managing and processing variations, final account work in terms of cost reporting and reconciliations, you will also be building a team under you as project works grow. 

This role would suit an applicant who is keen to take the lead in cost management, it would be a great career leap for a senior QS keen to progress to commercial management. You have at least 8+ years of commercial main contractor experience and have relevant tertiary qualifications. You are a natural communicator and build relationships at all levels with ease. Technically you are accomplished with pricing and estimating with an understanding of the market.
