We’re looking for a seasoned CA to join a high-performing Wellington based boutique tax and accounting practice. Don't be fooled by their size, this team really punch above their weight, with some of the most recognisable brands on the Aotearoa landscape. With consistent growth through 2025, they are expanding the team and looking to deepen their lineup in some key areas. Priding themselves on collaboration, excellence, and commercial insight, the team combines technical expertise with a practical approach to deliver solutions that make a genuine, real-world difference.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality tax and accounting services to clients. This isn’t just about compliance – it’s about insight, analysis, and adding real value. Your work will span:
Foreign Investment Fund (FIF) expertise. Not just processing reports, but critically analysing them and handling unusual FIF scenarios.
Financial reporting at Tier 2 IFRS level, including charities.
Tax application. Practical, hands-on advice rather than formal opinions.
Financial analysis. Helping clients understand the story behind the numbers.
Client liaison. Building strong relationships and providing commercial insight.
What we’re looking for:
A strong technical foundation in FIF and financial reporting
Ability to look beyond compliance and offer commercial perspective.
Excellent communication skills, you’ll be engaging with clients at a senior level.
A proactive, analytical mindset, someone who enjoys solving complex problems will do well here.
