We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract in Wellington. The ideal candidate will take a leading role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our automated test frameworks. Your expertise with test automation tools and frameworks, including Cypress and/or Playwright, will be crucial in ensuring our software products are robust, reliable, and ready for production.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in using test automation tools and frameworks, including Cypress and/or Playwright.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar.
• Strong understanding of test automation principles, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to testing and debugging.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior team members in test automation practices.
