Accounts Payable – Temporary Assignment

  • Finance Assistant/Accounts Payable temporary role to start asap for 8 weeks
  • Working as part of a supportive team within a Government Agency
  • $30.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Wellington CBD location

Are you looking to build on your existing accounts payable and accounts administration skills and experience?   Be part of a team who pride themselves on providing a quality service.   Working in a large Government agency you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise.   This role will look great on your CV.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and checking invoices for payment runs
  • Responding to internal and external customer queries
  • Processing expense claims
  • Setting up new Accounts Payable users and suppliers
  • Reconciliations of supplier statements
  • Filing and generating weekly reports

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience working in accounts payable (a minimum of two years)
  • Understanding of account administration practices
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organised and ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Technically savvy and proven knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
  • A positive “can do” attitude
