Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest and most recognisable brands. They provide an excellent working environment and fantastic benefits for their employees. After 5 years their current Internal Audit manager has elected to move on from the organisation, they are now looking to appoint a new Internal Audit Manager to manage the team.
The Role
This role is a key role in the organisation where you will play a big part in the strategic and operational direction of the audit function. You will manage a team of two that you will use to drive the audit function across the organisation. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy as you drive outstanding results from the team.
Key accountabilities include:
-Ensuring the Audit function is running smoothly and within scope
-Support organisational risk management through collection and interpretation of data.
-Meeting operational budgets, whilst ensuring productive use of resources
-Ensure effective risk identification and reduction, where possible
-Conduct research and fieldwork to understand the risk profiles of the business
-Create clear and concise working documents, highlighting key risks and appropriate conclusions
-Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
About You
Ideally you will come from Practice and have some commercial experience, however you may come straight from practice with the right attitude. You will be down to earth, fun , collaborative and be looking to grow your career in a progressive organisation that embraces innovation and promotes internally
-Degree qualified, ideally with CA/CPA/CIA
-Strong relationship building and maintenance skills
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
-Internal Audit experience from Practice or Commercial
-Leasdership experience
