Our client is a crown entity and have a newly created role to support the facilities manager.

This 12-month fixed term role will work closely with the Facilities Manager to provide efficient and effective co-ordination of facilities management activity to the site including security and facilities management, visitor management, mail and courier processing, procurement and receipting. The Facilities Co-ordinator will provide cover in the absence of the Facilities Manager. It will also share after hours on-call duties 50/50 with the Facilities Manager.

About the role:

  • Co-ordinate day to day building operations such as repairs, maintenance, parking and traffic control, cleaning and access control
  • Support visitor management, including visitor management system
  • Assist with induction, coordination and supervision of contractors and tradespersons engaged on facilities maintenance, services, utilities, cleaning and security contracts
  • Support the Facilities Manager with emergency evacuation procedures
  • Carry out procurement functions for Facilities including creating requisitions and receipting goods, following relevant policies and processes as required
  • Set up and re-set of board and seminar rooms as required for meetings
  • Order and receive consumables as required
  • Maintain efficient records management as appropriate for security and property
  • Actively participate in ESR Health & Safety processes and activities including, but not limited to, induction, training, risk management & reporting

What you bring to the role:

  • Excellent organisational/co-ordination skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Able to effectively, proactively identify and solve problems
  • Ability to gain security clearance
  • Clean drivers’ licence and access to a car (for after-hours callout)
  • Competence in the use of computers, including MS Office
  • Able to work independently and show initiative
