My client is a worldwide global security, aerospace and information technology company that is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
The Role:
The position is responsible for helping with the integrity of accounting information from the General Ledger through to Trial Balance and the generation of effective and timely management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
The Financial Accountant will assist the Manager to provide the expertise of a Chartered Accountant and support the management of key compliance matters including tax and audit, monitor and maintain proper and adequate internal controls ensuring adherence to SOX, GAAP, IFRS and regulatory requirements applicable to the role. The Financial Accountant will support the Program Finance Team to ensure that technical accounting implications are clearly understood.
Qualifications:
- Degree in commerce majoring in accounting
- CA (CAANZ) - Chartered Accountant or equivalent. I.e. CPA
- 3-5 year experience in both commercial BAS or government
- Experience with SAP (or other similar systems)
