This small yet well run professional project management office have a specific project that needs the experience of a strong intermediate level PM. The firm offers a better level of flexibility and autonomy as you take on several assignments. You may be looking for an alternative and a chance to get fast tracked job ownership with one-on-one mentoring from a Director.

Clients are spread across density residential developments, commercial fitouts, and new build commercial projects. This project will be requiring travel to the BOP as and when required.

Typical project manager tasks you will learn include:

•    Establish the project through appointing consultants, producing feasibility studies, monitoring all statutory processes and advising on procurement options
•    Project manage the construction phase, having responsibility for QA/risk, financial reporting, budget management, programming, defects list, remedial works and various project reports
•    Manage stakeholders and conduct site meetings.

As a project manager, you will need to come from a construction consultancy/client side background. Most of your 5+years of NZ based experience has been involving working on a range of commercial projects across a broad range of industries. A tertiary qualification in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Building Science, or Engineering is essential. Your ability to articulate issues and harness relationships is essential.  

Salary between $110K and $130K
