This is boutique main contractor specializing in projects across premium residential, child care and other light commercial builds – $1M - $5M. This contractor has its own labour force with a staff compliment of around 20. They undertake their own developments as well. They have a small team and are feely social in culture.
They are now looking for a QS that will work across all their projects together with two Directors and a PM. As systems are set up, you will be stepping into established systems
Your role will involve
- Scheduling/estimating
- Tender preparation and analysis and presenting to clients
- Bills of quantities
- Cost management and being involved in bank drawdowns for the company’s own developments
- Subcontractor management
- Progress claims and assessing variations
- Implementing changes to pricing and claims processing if necessary
I am looking for an intermediate with an interest in working for a smaller contractor. You are an experienced quantity surveyor of at least 3-4 years coming from a main contractor with a relevant tertiary degree. A mix of commercial and high end residential would be ideal. You can multi manage several projects on the go between $1M - $5M. You are well organised, commercial, have an eye for detail, are adaptable and can confidently liaise across a range of stakeholders.
This role offers a completive market salary $90K - $110K
