Procurement Insights Analyst – Public Sector

Are you an experienced procurement or finance analyst who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights? We’re seeking a Procurement Insights Analyst to support a major public‑sector organisation undergoing significant procurement transformation.
This permanent role reports directly to the Procurement Lead and plays a critical part in building a trusted procurement data environment that supports evidence‑based decision‑making, supplier performance monitoring, compliance, and organisational maturity uplift.
About the Role
In this key position, you will:

Extract and integrate procurement data from finance systems, e‑procurement platforms, contract registers and legacy sources

Transform semi‑structured and poor‑quality data into reliable analytical models

Build dashboards and reporting suites that leaders and buyers rely on

Support delivery of a major procurement uplift programme including a 32‑action improvement plan

Establish monitoring and control frameworks for performance, compliance and supplier risk

Enable insight‑driven decisions across the organisation

Uphold public‑sector procurement policies, probity standards and best‑practice guidance
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or similar
-
9–10 years’ experience as an analyst in a large, complex environment
-
5+ years’ experience in data extraction, transformation and modelling
-
Advanced capability in Power BI, Excel, Power Query
-
Experience building dashboards, KPIs and control frameworks
-
Experience with process improvement and change management (ADKAR/Prosci preferred)

Comfortable working with semi‑structured and imperfect data
-
Understanding of Government Procurement Rules (preferred)
