Whittaker’s, New Zealand’s most trusted and iconic chocolate manufacturer, is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Procurement Coordinator to join our procurement team on a 12‑month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a small, high-performing function where you will make a meaningful impact every day. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will support the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other essential goods that keep our operations running smoothly.

What you will be doing:

  • Procurement and Administration
  • Monitor raw materials, packaging and POS stock requirements.
  • Maintain purchase orders, supplier information, item records and pricing within the ERP system.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, credits, quality issues and invoice queries.
  • Support supplier onboarding, documentation and compliance activities.
  • Track international logistics and keep shipment information up to date.
  • Production Planning Support
  • Review weekly production plans to ensure material availability.
  • Coordinate stock movements between warehousing, production and third-party sites.
  • Maintain ERP accuracy for consumption, loadings, volumes and reconciliations.
  • Support FIFO processes and monitor raw material expiry dates.
  • Procurement and Data Analysis
  • Assist with analysis of cost movements and stock variances.
  • Support packaging and POS development.
  • Assist with supplier sourcing, audits and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Provide reporting and insights on pricing, commodities and supplier standards.


What you will bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid capability in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics or a similar field.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
