We care looking for a contractor though to end of June 2025  to enhance product management maturity within a Product & Training portfolio while also supporting the structured development and delivery of new product initiatives.

The contractor role will combine tactical execution and strategic guidance, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry best practices. This role is pivotal in driving product success, defined by customer satisfaction, market fit, financial performance, user engagement, scalability, operational efficiency, innovation, and alignment with business goals.

 
Key Objectives and Scope of Work
 
Conduct a comprehensive review of existing core products in the market inclusive of training programme review
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to identify and address product gaps, ensuring these products meet customer needs and market demands.
Provide insights on product-market fit, customer experience mapping, and optimisation strategies
  • Enhance market positioning and drive product success, focusing on customer satisfaction, financial performance, and engagement.
Refine and implement a structured product management framework
  • Review the effectiveness of the current software as a product lifecycle management tool, provide recommendations for an alternative solution if required, and embed the selected solution to ensure seamless tracking of the entire Product Lifecycle—from ideation to launch and post-launch lifecycle management.
  • Develop and document scalable, repeatable processes for effective product management.
  • Deliverable: Implemented Product Management System, including recommendations on existing software  or alternative solutions, with documented processes for seamless product lifecycle tracking.
Strengthen the capability of internal product managers
  • Coach and mentor internal teams on product management principles and practices.
  • Deliver training sessions or workshops to build internal capability, ensuring long-term sustainability of product management practices through structured knowledge transfer.
Support new product development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements and value propositions new products 
  • Support the development of business cases, including feasibility studies and financial modelling.
  • Assist in the design of pilot programmes, market testing, and post-launch monitoring to ensure product success.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in product management and strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver Product Roadmaps and embed product management frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement and team mentoring.
  • Familiarity with training and medical/health product markets is highly desirable but not required.
