This is a well-recognised group home builder with a long-standing history and a brand recognised for their highest quality in design. They are large players in the market and have contracts with Kainga Ora (Housing NZ) and private developers but also, they work with clients in Design and Build with plenty of opportunities.
Due to a recent departure, they are looking for a QS Team Leader to provide commercial leadership across four regions for their significant residential arm.
Your role involves:
- Completing job estimates
- Contract administration
- Financial reporting and variations
- Orders preparation
- Supplier management/negotiating
- Process improvements advisory
- Team management and mentoring
- Site visits during construction
Key background:
- 10 + years of residential QS experience including knowledge of NZ Building Code and NZ Building Standards, including NZS3604:2011, 3910/ETC contracts and 3915
- Tertiary qualified with a Diploma/Bachelors degree in CM/QSing
- Top communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Excellent team management ability including being able to guide and mentor
- Strong financial nous, excellent pricing systems skills
- Strong understanding and knowledge of various Building Estimating and Management Software
- Drive and want to build a career within this company
Remuneration: Salary $130K - $160K + Benefits
