This a key supplier of roofing systems who have experienced major growth in the past 5 years. They are now seeking a motivated Junior Pre‑Construction Team Member with proven hands‑on site experience and a strong practical understanding of construction. This role supports the planning and preparation phases of their projects, ensuring sites are organised, compliant, and ready for efficient construction delivery.
The ideal candidate is someone who has spent time on the tools or in active site environments and is now ready to step into a coordination and early‑stage management role. You’ll work closely with the senior preconstruction team, project managers, subcontractors, and consultants to help set up projects for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in pre‑construction planning, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Support the setup and organisation of construction sites (access, temporary works, utilities, safety signage)
- Conduct site inspections, measurements, and documentation of existing conditions
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm availability, deliveries, and early‑stage works
- Help prepare and maintain health & safety documentation, risk assessments, and compliance records
- Contribute to early project scheduling, procurement tracking, and cost monitoring
- Provide practical input into buildability, sequencing, and site logistics based on real‑world experience
- Hands‑on construction or site experience (labouring, carpentry, civil works, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical documents
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of site safety requirements and compliance processes
- Proactive, practical problem‑solver with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Carpentry Trade Qualified
- Current health & safety certifications (e.g., Site Safe or equivalent)
- Full driver’s licence
