Come and join the Government’s principal policy advisor on Māori wellbeing and development, provide leadership and influence on the public sector system to support government to have a positive impact on Māori wellbeing outcomes and intergenerational transformation.
The Senior Advisor, Health, Safety, and Security will proactively manage or contribute to the development, review, and co-ordination of an overarching “Framework” to meet a range of organisational assurance requirements including:
- Health and Safety
- Hauora -Wellbeing
- Protective Security Requirements
- Privacy
You will work and partner with other leaders and key staff across the Ministry, especially the Director People and Capability, Business Managers and the Health and Safety Representative Network comprised of kaimahi from Regional Partnerships and Operations. This will ensure programmes are fit for purpose, meet assurance requirements, and that and kaimahi are educated to know and understand why Health, Safety and Security is important and understand how to apply processes and meet policy requirements.
The Senior Advisor is responsible for the central co-ordination, development and monitoring of work programmes and the annual reviews of our state of organisational maturity for privacy, health, safety, and protective security requirements and for the implementation of measures that will enhance these systems and processes.
The first 12 months in this role will be to set up governance and safety hygiene and compliance and will then move into the culture and wellbeing space.
