We’re seeking a confident and capable Data Analyst to join a high-impact programme replacing core HRIS and payroll systems across a large, complex government entity. This is a fixed-term opportunity through to December 2026, supporting the migration of legacy data into Workday and Dayforce aPay.
You’ll be the bridge between business analysts and the technical migration team, diving deep into legacy HR and payroll data to profile, cleanse, transform, and validate it. This is a hands-on role requiring strong SQL skills, data mapping expertise, and the ability to reconcile and resolve issues across multiple systems.
You’ll work across workstreams and vendors, helping ensure the data is accurate, complete, and trusted from day one. We need someone who can hit the ground running, connect across the programme, and find smart ways to solve complex data challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Profile and analyse legacy HR and payroll data using SQL and other tools
- Define and document data cleansing and transformation rules
- Map data between systems and support reconciliation and validation
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure migration success
- Support UAT and provide data expertise across the programme
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in data analysis, migration, or system implementation
- Strong SQL skills and experience with HR/payroll data
- Skilled in data profiling, cleansing, and transformation
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-stream programmes
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-starter with initiative and a problem-solving mindset
