I am currently working with two separate, large financial institutions, both based in central Auckland, and looking to add some firepower to their corporate financial reporting teams in the run-in to the end-of-year reporting season and into 2022.
One role is in the banking sector and ideally requires someone with experience of treasury or financial markets accounting, although you may have a more generalist corporate accounting skill-set and be looking to upskill in some of these areas. We are looking for someone, ideally, at the Senior Accountant level or above.
The second role is with a large insurer and will involve a mixture of statutory financial reporting and regulatory reporting to the RBNZ. This will also be at the Senior Accountant level or above and look for someone with a prior background in the insurance or financial services sectors, although, similarly there is scope for someone with a more generalist financial reporting skill-set.
In both cases you will be joining a supportive and friendly team with brands that will stand out on your career resume and potentially lead to ongoing involvement for the right candidates. In common, these roles will require a first-rate technical accounting abilities, preferably with CA qualification, or equivalent, and the ability to hit the ground running in a large blue-chip corporate environment.
These would represent excellent opportunities for anyone, suitably qualified, who is in the market and looking for some stability through the Christmas and New Year period, whilst allowing opportunity to build plans for 2022.
